PartyPoker.com Abolishes Tournament Rake

PartyPoker.com today dropped a welcome bombshell on the online poker community – it is abolishing all tournament fees for a limited time.

For now all entry fees (rake) will be added to the prize pool so a $100 tournament which may have had a $10 entry fee will now be a $110 tournament with the entire amount $110 – going towards the overall prize pool.

A spokesman for the company said, “In an industry first, all MTT’s [multi-table tournaments] on PartyPoker.com are completely rake free. As the rake free period applies to ALL MTT tournaments – qualifiers for events such as WPT Paris and GSOP Manchester also have new structures which incorporate no fees.”
