Anton Makiievskyi is a 21 year old pro from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, who is hoping to overcome his eighth-place chip position in order to overtake Joe Cada as the youngest player to ever win the Main Event. In addition to playing for the record of youngest champion, Makiievskyi also has the honor of being the first Ukrainian player to make the WSOP Main Event final table, riding the wave of success this year that led to four bracelet wins for Ukrainian players.
Makiievskyi has spent the last few years as a student playing poker part-time both online and in live cash games. Despite a few years of experience, this will be Makiievskyi’s first career cash due to only recently turning 21.
