CarleoAnthony Carleo, known as the “Bellagio Bandit,” was sentenced on Tuesday to 3 to 11 years for stealing about $1.5 million in gambling chips from the Bellagio in December, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Carleo, 30, pleaded guilty in June to armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon as part of a deal with prosecutors, which also saw eight other felony charges dropped. Carleo committed the crime holding a gun and wearing a helmet before later fleeing on a motorcycle.

Carleo, the son of a Las Vegas Municipal Court judge, was arrested in early February at the Bellagio after allegedly trying to sell some of the stolen cranberry $25,000 denomination chips to an undercover detective.
