WinStar World Casino's River Poker Series to be Streamed Live on Card Player

$2,100 Main Event Has $2.4 Million Guarantee

The River Poker Series at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma began last week, and with $3 million guaranteed over the nine events the action is sure to be intense. For the first time ever, Card Player will be bringing you a live-streaming broadcast from the final table of the $2,100 buy-in main event on Sept. 5.

The live web broadcast will feature multi-camera coverage of the final table without hole cards. Last year’s main event drew 1,436 players, with Khoueng Souvoravong taking home a whopping $646,690 for the win. This year’s champion will be awarded a first-place prize from the $2.4 million guaranteed prize pool, as well as the 2011 River Championship bracelet, live on CardPlayer.com.

The main event will have three opening round days on Sept. 1-3. Main event days will begin at 12 p.m. CST. Players will begin with 15,000 in tournament chips and blinds will start at 25-25 for the first 40-minute level. The top 10 percent from each opening round day will advance to day 2 on Sept. 4. The final 20 players will advance to the championship round on Sept. 5, at which point Card Player will be beginning it’s live-streaming coverage.
