Indian poker company, The Shark, plans to try and break Phil Laak’s poker endurance record next month.

Nine players will play the India Poker Legend Marathon Cash Game Session, which has been sanctioned by Guinness World Records, and the last person standing after 115 hours will be crowned the new record holder.

The event takes place at Casino Royale, Goa, India from November 22 to 27. Five people have already signed up to play and organizers are searching for four more.

A spokesman for the company said, “Even if players do not want to participate, we encourage you to come to just watch, cheer and support the participants in putting Indian Poker on the World Poker Map. To keep all supporters involved there will of course be cash games running throughout the event suiting every buy-in.”
