The prize pool for the World Series of Poker Europe main event has been announced. This year 593 players tallied up the €10,400 buy-in, creating a €5,692,800 prize pool ($7,826,106). This means that whoever is the last player standing will win a top prize of €1.4 million ($1,924,806) plus the most coveted award a poker player can win, a World Series of Poker bracelet.

Last year, James Bord topped a field of 346 to win the £830,401 first-place prize and the defending champion is still in with a shot this year, although quite short at time of writing.
