European Masters of Poker Pulls Into Riga

Season III of EMOP Finishes With A Bang In Latvia

The sixth and final stop of the European Masters of Poker season III kicks off today at the Royal Casino Spa & Hotel Resort in Riga, Latvia with a €300 + €30 buy-in no-limit hold’em super satellite for the Grand Final main event at 6 p.m. (local time).

Day 1A of the €1,650 buy-in main event begins tomorrow, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m.. There will be two starting days and blinds will increase every 45 minutes until level 5 when the ante is introduced, then levels will become 60 minutes long.

Players sit down to 20,000 in chips and play will continue until Nov. 20 when one player has accumulated them all. A slightly different prize structure to the usual will be used in Riga in order to comply with Latvian law.

There is one final chance to satellite into the main event tomorrow, Nov. 17. The €100 + €20 buy-in no-limit hold’em with R/A super satellite kicks off at 8 p.m. and runs alongside the first starting day of the main event.

Aside from the main event, the stop also features a €100 + €20 pot-limit Omaha 8-max event with unlimited rebuys and add-ons at 8 p.m. on Nov. 18; a €500 + €50 two-day, no-limit hold’em deepstack at 8 p.m. on Nov. 19; and a €200 + €20 no-limit hold’em freezeout at 3 p.m. on Nov. 20.
