The inaugural Card Player Native American Casino Poker Tour stop kicks off this Thursday in Durant, Oklahoma at the Choctaw Casino Resort. The 20-event schedule offers something for players of all skill levels, with tournament buy-ins as low as $100 + $25, but those looking to get in for even cheaper will be pleased to know that the poker room will be offering single-table satellites on a daily basis at $45 and up.

“There are a number of different ways to get into one of our events,” said Poker Room Manager Ken Lambert. “Entry into every event on our schedule can be won through a single-table satellite and we have mega- and super-satellites scheduled for the main event as well.”

The $930 + $70 main event will take place on December 10. The winner will not only gain entry into a future WSOP Circuit event, they’ll also be featured on the cover of Card Player magazine. The entire final table will be streamed live on CardPlayer.com.

Because the tournament is taking place in a Native American casino, players only need to be at least 18 years old to participate. Those coming into town for the series will be able to take advantage of a special discounted hotel rate for the players, which lowers the room cost to $69 during the week and $99 on weekends.

That being said, Lambert is also anticipating a fair number of drive-in players from the surrounding cities, especially the Dallas/Fort Worth area, which is less than a two-hour drive away.

“We aren’t going to be caught off guard,” said Lambert. “We are expecting a successful turnout and are preparing accordingly. We have a total of 75 poker tables available and with our round-the-clock satellites running, we’re ready for a full house.”

Those who wish to win their way into the NACPT main event can do so by winning a single-table satellite, or by taking part in one of four other super and mega satellites that take place on December 9.

Those who find themselves on the rail after day 1 of the main event can stick around to compete in the $175 + $25 mega-satellite into the January WSOP Circuit main event. Choctaw will be adding $10,000 to the prize pool, which accounts for over six seats.
