India continues to dole out champions with its latest victor Sameer Rattonsey. According to Indian news site, Mid-day.com, Rattonsey scooped the top spot at the India Poker Championship after coming so close to glory recently.

The player from Mumbai finished second at the Asian Poker Tour’s recent inaugural stop in India, and also came close to winning the title of India Player of the Year, which in the end was taken down by Abhishek Goindi.

On Sunday, Rattonsey made it all the way to the top when he bested a field of 83 at the IPC, which was held in the Royale Room on board the Casino Royale.
