Online poker operator Purple Lounge has confirmed it is leaving the Microgaming network to join Swedish-based network Entraction. The move takes place on January 16.
The Entraction network is home to operators such as Victor Chandler, and runs the successful European Masters of Poker tour across Europe.
Earlier this year Entraction was bought by U.S. gaming giant IGT.
Purple Lounge explained the move saying, “As we all know, the online poker industry is an ever changing and fast-evolving one, and Purple Lounge is evolving too.
“Moving network becomes a crucial part of this process. Entraction is backed by one of the biggest gaming companies in the world (IGT), so you are in reliable network-hands, today and tomorrow.
“The bad news is that we currently can’t accept Danish players BUT the good news is that we can on Entraction! Not only that, we have a specific solution for Danish players that will be available within the next 10 days.
However the company added, “It is with great regret that once we migrate onto Entraction we are no longer able to accept players from Russia, Estonia and Canada."
