Caesars Palace Winter Poker Classic Begins Friday

Series Returns For Second Year With 42 Events

Caesars Palace Poker RoomThe 2nd annual Caesars Winter Poker Classic kicks off this Friday, Feb. 10, in Las Vegas. The series will run from February 10th through March 1st, and feature a total of 42 events. The centerpiece of the whole series is the $560 buy-in no-limit hold’em Championship Event, which runs for three days beginning on Feb. 25.

“We are very excited to bring back the Winter Poker Classic to Caesars Palace,” said Andy Rich, director of poker operations at Caesars Palace and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. “We got very positive feedback from our inaugural series last year. Players were happy about the structure and turnouts of the events, so we are looking forward to building on that this year to create an even better experience for our guests.”

Tournament buy-ins range from as low as $130 all the way to $560. Special events include a $130 buy-in Valentine’s Day event for couples to participate in together, with each partner playing for 15 minutes and then handing-off control of their chips to their loved one.

Also, the series will feature a $130 buy-in Seniors Event scheduled on Feb. 23rd at 10 AM and a $130 heads-up no-limit hold’em event that will be capped at 64 players. In addition to the events that are a part of the tournament series, cash games and normal daily tournaments will also be running as usual.

  • * All DST (Double Stack Turbos) level are 15 minutes and 20 minutes.
  • * * Heads Up tournament (64 – Max), levels are 15 minutes for 1st – 2nd matches, 3rd – 5th matches 20 minutes, final match is 30 minutes Best of three matches.
  • * * * Championship Event levels are 40 minutes and 60 final table.
  • * * * * Valentine Couples each partner will play 15 minutes. Levels will go up every 30 minutes.
