Bet24 and PokerStars have grown the number of countries where poker players can play real money games on mobile devices.
Yesterday PokerStars announced it had added the UK (minus Northern Ireland) to its only other currentl region, Italy, while Bet24, which already counted the UK, France, and Austria among the regions it serviced, added 14 countries today.
These are Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Bet24 only offers its mobile platforms to iPhone users while PokerStars platform is available to both iPhone and Android OS customers.
Indicating the growing importance of mobile poker PokerStars said, “The UK launch of PokerStars Mobile follows a highly successful debut in Italy last month. 10% of all PokerStars players in Italy each day now play on mobile, with 7% playing exclusively on mobile devices.”
