The 2012 World Series of Poker Circuit Caesars Palace Atlantic City is about to begin, with a total of 12 gold-ring events beginning on March 1st and continuing through the 12th.
There are a number of different formats and buy-ins for players to chose from, but the highlight of the series, as always, is the $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event, which begins on March 10th. Last year this event drew 442 entrants, building a $643,110 prize pool. In the end, Brooklyn’s Brian Ali was the last mad standing, earning $139,284 and 960 Card Player Player of the Year points.
In addition to the marquee attraction, there are a number of other interesting events including a $345 re-entry no-limit hold’em event that begins March 2nd, a $345 limit Omaha eight-or-better event that begins on March 8th and a $1,080 no-limit hold’em event that kicks off on March 9th.
