Anton Karasinsky Takes Down Penultimate IPT Main Event Of Season 3

The Slovakian beat 285 opponents to the lion’s share of the €554,840 prize pool at Slovenia’s Perla Casino in Nova Gorica, and survived a roller coaster ride on the final table to earn the €140,000 for first place.

Runner-up Carla Solinas entered the final table as monster chip leader with more than twice the amount of chips as the player next on the list, Dubravko Bagic. It wasn’t to be for Solinas or Bagic however with Bagic finishing fifth and Solinas narrowly missing out on gold.

The final hand saw Solinas move all in with 6Spade Suit 5Spade Suit against Karasinky’s pocket nines. The board fell JClub Suit JDiamond Suit 2Club Suit ADiamond Suit QHeart Suit and with that Karasinsky stepped on Solinas’ dreams. She received €74,000 for second place.

The IPT moves on to San Remo in May for the Season 3 Grand Final. Here the results of the IPT leader board will also be determined and a winner announced. This player will receive PokerStars sponsorship for all of Season 4.
