|
The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa for another series of 12 events, beginning on Mar. 29 and running until April 10.
The series will feature a number of unique events including a $350 HO.R.S.E., a $350 pot-limit Omaha with $100 re-buys and a $1,060 no-limit hold’em.
Of course, the highlight of the whole series is undeniably the marquee $1,600 no-limit hold’em main event, which begins on April 7. The tournament has two staring flights that day, one at noon and another at 7:00 PM local time. The main event will continue until a champion is determined on the evening of April 9.
The WSOP Circuit is returning to Council Bluffs for the first time since fall 2010, as this series was previously held in September as part of the 2010-2011 WSOP Circuit season.
In the main event of that series, a total 251 players put up the $1,600 buy-in, building a $361,440 prize pool. After three full days of play, the last man standing was Blair Hinkle, who earned $88,555 and his first gold ring to go with his WSOP bracelet.
Hinkle topped a tough final table that included WSOP Circuit champions Dwyte Pilgrim and Kevin Calenzo.
