The Palms Casino ResortAn agreement with Cantor Gaming will see the Palms Casino poker room move to the sports book this summer, according to The Las Vegas Review Journal. Cantor Gaming, which was approved last January to run the Palms sports book, is in the middle of construction and implementing their mobile wagering technology at the resort.

Cantor, which also operates the Venetian’s sports book, is confident that moving the existing poker room to the sports book will attract more gamblers who are interested in playing while they sweat the games.

“There is a natural overlap between sports bettors and poker players and by situating poker within the sports book, we can offer customers maximum entertainment and convenience,” said President and CEO of Cantor Gaming Lee Amaitis.

The new poker room will feature eight tables and will boast a nearby bar called Tonic. Until construction is completed, players can place wagers at a sports book kiosk located just outside the room.
