The Trent Tucker nonprofit organization is hosting its eighth annual Trent Tucker Celebrity Golf Tournament. And keeping up with the times, has added - you guessed it - a poker tournament. World Poker Stores will be there to assist.
The poker tournament will be held on Friday, September 8 at Canterbury Card Club, in Shakopee, Minnesota. There will be a celebrity walk over the "green" carpet at 5:30 p.m. The entry is $2,500 and seating is limited.
The golf event, presented by Polaroid-Petters Group Worldwide is on Saturday, September 9 at Rush Creek Golf Club, Maple Grove, Minnesota. The entry fee is $5,000, and teams of four will include celebrity representation. Audience tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
Proceeds will go towards the Trent Tucker Youth Program, an organization that allows the NBA player to give back to his community.
Invited NBA guests include Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing, and more. Poker elites Greg Raymer, Phil Hellmuth, Hoyt Corkins, Marcel Luske, Patrik Antonius, Liz Lieu, and Robert Williamson III are also slated to attend.
Celebrity parties will be held both nights at Karma in downtown Minneapolis and are open to the public.
"Professional players love to play with their professional athlete counterparts and visa versa," says World Poker Store CEO Chuck Chastain. "Events like these allow them to have a great time with each other and their fans while generating funds for a worthy cause."
