888 Holdings plc, owner of 888 Poker, today issued its interim management statement for the first quarter of 2012 which reports business-to-consumer poker revenue up 88 percent to US$21 million from $11 million this time last year.
The number of active customers in B2C poker was 405,000, an increase of 83 percent compared to Q1 2011 while quarterly revenue per active poker customer was up three percent to US$52 compared to the first quarter of 2011.
Brian Mattingley, CEO of 888, said, “Our focused strategy has led to another excellent quarter, with ongoing strength in Poker driving March to the highest ever monthly revenues in the history of 888. Poker has continued its robust performance in the early stages of Q2, with our other product areas seeing an expected return to seasonal patterns.
Overall Group revenue at 888, which includes casino and sports book, was up 25 percent year-on-year to $94 million from $75 million.
Last year 888 saw poker revenue grow 58 percent to $61 million.
