PaddyPowerPoker.com is now launching its Irish Winter Festival 2012 which has an exciting twist this year, and the first online super satellite will give away two IWF packages worth €1,800 each this Sunday, May 6.
The festival, which features the €1,000 + €125 buy-in main event, is set to play out between Oct. 26 and 29 at Dublin’s Burlington Hotel, with a full schedule of side events yet to be announced.
This year sees the site alter and extend its popular Sole Survivor promotion to Six Survivors meaning the final six remaining PaddyPowerPoker.com qualifiers in the IWF main event will get free entry into next year’s Irish Open. On top of this, the Six Survivors will also qualify for the €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion at the Irish Open 2013 main event where the final qualifier standing receives €50,000 in cash and €50,000 in sponsorship package.
Last year John Keown topped a field of 395 at the IWF main event for a payday of €100,000. The Northern Irish player also won the Sole Survivor competition.
Feeders are running daily at PaddyPowerPoker.com for this Sunday’s €130 + €10 super satellite, which is taking place at 8 p.m.. Satellites will run every Sunday and players who qualify before Sept. 1 will receive a free €50 sports bet with PaddyPower.com.
Paddy Power, Communications Manager for the site, said, “With another successful Irish Open behind us, it’s time to start looking forward to the Irish Winter Festival this October bank holiday weekend. Instead of the usual IWF Sole Survivor promotion, we decided this year to spread the love around a little bit more. The newly launched Six Survivors promotion means that not one but six of our qualifiers will benefit and get the opportunity to play in next years Irish Open.
“What’s more, players who qualify for the IWF on paddypowerpoker.com before 1st September will have the added benefit of a free €50 sports bet. With markets available on the Euro 2012 already, I’m sure you’ll have no trouble finding something to put your €50 stake on.”
