Borgata Poker Open Starts with Bang

More than 1,100 Players Show for First Event

The World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open began yesterday when more than 1,100 people sat down for the first event, a $560 no-limit hold'em tournament that kicked off the 13 tournaments that make up the Open.

It's a great start to a popular tournament.

The $10,000 WPT Borgata Open championship event starts Friday, Sept. 15. Supersatellite day starts on Sept. 14, and there are plenty of tournaments that take place from now until the championship. The schedule follows:

  • $810 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 6
  • $560 limit hold'em, Sept. 7
  • $1,080 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 8
  • $1,600 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 9
  • $300 no-limit ladies tournament, Sept. 9
  • $560 stud, Sept. 11
  • $2,650 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 12
  • $5,200 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 13
  • $10,000 no-limit hold'em event, Sept. 15
  • $1,070 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 16
  • $810 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 17
  • $560 no-limit hold'em, Sept. 18
