Irish Winter Poker Festival Super Satellite Sunday

Players can qualify for the 2012 installment of poker’s Irish Winter Festival (IWF) this evening at 8 p.m. at PaddyPowerPoker.com. The €130 + €10 super satellite runs every Sunday with packages worth €1,800 on offer. Feeders are currently running daily.

Players who qualify before Sept. 1 will receive a free €50 sports bet with PaddyPower.com.

The festival features an exciting twist this year as the site has extended its popular Sole Survivor promotion to Six Survivors. This means that the six remaining PaddyPowerPoker.com qualifiers in the IWF main event will get free entry into next year’s Irish Open. On top of this, the Six Survivors will also qualify for the €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion at the Irish Open 2013 main event where the final qualifier standing receives €50,000 in cash and €50,000 in sponsorship package.

The festival, which features the €1,000 + €125 buy-in main event, is set to play out between Oct. 26 and 29 at Dublin’s Burlington Hotel, with a full schedule of side events yet to be announced.

Last year John Keown topped a field of 395 at the IWF main event for a payday of €100,000. The Northern Irish player also won the Sole Survivor competition.
