Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw -- Day 7 Results

Four Players Make Their Second CPPT Final Tables On Wednesday

Day 7 of the Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw is in the books with three new winners determined and $52,729 in prize money awarded for the day. Four players also made their second final table of the CPPT Choctaw series. Here is a look at Wednesday’s results:

Event 12 – $200 No-Limit Hold’em ($15,000 Guarantee)

Steven GordonAnother guarantee was surpassed at the CPPT Choctaw, this time be nearly 80%. A total of 162 players turned out for the $200 buy-in no-limit hold’em event, building a $26,714 prizepool.

After roughly twelve hours of play the final four players struck a deal, with Sherman, Texas resident Steven Gordon taking the trophy as the chipleader at the time.

Also part of the deal was Lynn Samples, who was at her second CPPT final table in as many days. The Dallas, Texas resident has numerous cashes in a number of Choctaw tournaments and five career titles.

Edmond, Oklahoma’s Jarral D’Andrea was also at his second final table of the series.

Event 13 – $300 Limit Omaha 8/OB

James AstorinoThe second Omaha eight-or-better event at the CPPT drew 72 players to build an $18,158 prize pool. A deal was made five handed, with James Astorino being awarded the CPPT winner’s trophy.

Like event 12, this event also featured a couple of players making their second final table of the series: Sylvain Guinepain and Andrew Hime, who final tabled both Omaha eight-or-better events held at the CPPT Choctaw.

Sergio AlcantaraA total of 81 players turned out for the nightly event, each posting the $125 buy-in to build a $7,857 prizepool. In the end the final four came to a deal, with the win being awarded to Sergio Alcantara, who held the chiplead at the time play ended.
