The inaugural Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw came to a close late Monday night when Maxx Dansky emerged victorious in the $1,080 main event, topping the 800 player field to win the $152,008 first-place prize, 912 Card Player Player of the Year points and the stunning championship bracelet.
With that, the series came to a close after paying out $1,841,411 in prize money in all of the tournaments held over the two-week span, including the nightly $125 and the satellite events. All told the tournaments of the CPPT Choctaw saw 6,261 entries, surpassing expectations and each and every guarantee. Here is a look at the results from the last side events that took place while the main event played down to a champion:
Event 21 – $235 No-Limit Hold’em
Event 21 saw 120 players post the $235 buy-in, building a prize pool of $23,280. In the end a deal was made that saw John Garnica emerge as the champion, taking home the CPPT winner’s trophy and the win.

Event 22 – $200 No-Limit Hold’em
121 Players turned out for the final $200 event of the series, creating a $19,953 prize pool. As the main event played down to the final few tables, the final table of this event played alongside late into the night on Sunday. Eventually Austin, Texas’ Hartt Stearns sent his last opponent to the rail to earn the trophy and $5,471 in prize money.
