The third European Masters of Poker (EMOP) Barcelona freeroll in BetVictor Poker’s series of four takes place this evening, Aug. 22, at 8.15 p.m. (CET).
Players must have earned 400 VIP points since Aug. 1 to take part as this is the 400m Sprint Challenge, which is part of the site’s €40,000 Poker Olympics.
The winner will receive a package worth €2,000, which includes the €1,000 + €100 main event buy-in, four nights accommodation at the Barceló Atenea Mar, and €350 spending money for flights.
The final freeroll, the EMOP Barcelona 800m, takes place on Aug. 29 at the same time. This is the priciest of the four in terms of VIP points, as players need to accumulate 800 points by then.
Tomorrow, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m., there is a MacBook Air Notebook and cash prizes up for grabs for the top 10 of the Marathon. Over two hours, 1,000 players will battle it out until the clock is paused and prizes are given based on chip counts at that point. The winner will receive the shiny new MacBook Air, second to fifth place get €100 cash, and sixth to tenth get €50.
The buy-in is 20 VIP points, which must be earned in the 48 hours leading up to the start of each tournament.
The BetVictor Poker Poker Olympics also features the 400 Metre Hurdles. Those who win four consecutive six-seat turbo sit ‘n’ go tournaments at the same stake level will receive a new iPad or a cash prize.
Finally, players who hit a royal flush in any Texas hold’em cash game are rewarded with €100 in the High Jump, while players who get dealt a pocket pair three times in a row (at the same hold’em cash game table) receive €300 in the Triple Jump.
