A legal battle — stemming from an alleged $2 million gambling debt and alleged execution threats — between “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis and international casino owner Steve Wynn is underway in a California court, ABC News reported.
Francis and Wynn have been battling for a few years now, with the latest round tackling Francis’ claims that Wynn sent emails saying that he wanted Francis buried in the Mojave Desert. Wynn has fiercely denied the allegations, reportedly testifying that he has never used email.
“I was afraid for my life,” Francis told ABC. “He made it very clear that he wanted to kill me.”
The 70-year-old Wynn is taking Francis, 39, to court for slander. The L.A. Times reported that on Wednesday Wynn said Francis’ “lie” could hurt his business. A jury will eventually make a decision on the matter.
