Everest Poker To Join iPoker Network

BetClic Everest Group Confirms Move From Proprietary Software To Playtech’s Poker Network

EverestPoker.com and EverestPoker.fr are to abandon their proprietary software platforms and join the iPoker network, home to prominent online poker networks such as Paddy Power, Titan Poker and William Hill.

In a statement today the BetClic Everest Group, which recently completed its acquisition of the remaining shares of Everest Gaming from GigaMedia, said the move would allow it to concentrate on marketing.

The move to Playtech’s poker network will happen before the end of the year.The iPoker network split into two tiers earlier this week.

Mor Weiser, chief executive of Playtech, said, "The French market remains a priority market for us. We believe that the combination of BetClick-Everest Group, one of the leading operators in the French market, our technology solutions reinforces our strategy on regulated markets.

“This partnership extends beyond France, benefit our two groups that will have a greater liquidity, advanced technology and closer relations. “

While Ignacio Martos, chief executive of BetClick Everest Group added, "Playtech is the best way to improve the experience of our customers and our liquidity and to offer our community a better interface to the latest industry standards.

“With this partnership, we continue our strategy is to offer the best online gaming experience to our players and to consolidate our position in key European markets where we are present."

No mention was made of what will happen to Everest’s proprietary software once the company makes it redundant. Like the Ongame network software it may go up for sale.
