Nevada's July Gaming Revenue Hits $1 Billion

Strong Month For Silver State Casinos On Whole

Nevada casinos reported more than $1 billion in gaming revenue for the month of July, according to a report released Monday by the state Gaming Control Board.

The amount represents nearly a 17-percent increase from July 2011.

Nevada collected about $67 million in “percentage fees” from the revenue.

Clark County, home of the Las Vegas Strip, reported a July year-over-year increase of 21.17 percent.
