Man Robs Walmart After Losing $150 Sports BetArrested For Stealing About $750 Worth Of Goods |

A Tennessee man lost a $150 sports bet on a college football game this past Saturday, and in order to pay off the debt he stole about $750 worth of merchandise from retail giant Walmart, the Herald-Citizen reported Wednesday.
The man and his accomplice, who is his girlfriend, were arrested. He reportedly admitted to the theft, which took place at the Cookeville Walmart on Tuesday. The police said that he also told them how the gambling debt was his motivation for the act.
The items reported stolen were a vacuum cleaner, a 39-inch TV, a Blu-ray player and a pair of “sleep pants”.
The man bet on the University of Tennessee-Mississippi State game, which the Bulldogs won.
