Early Tuesday morning, not long before the re-launch of Full Tilt Poker, professional high-stakes cash game player Tom “durrrr” Dwan took to Twitter before heading to bed to see if anyone wanted to bet on the outcome of the 2012 presidential election.
This Tuesday, Nov. 6 is the day when the majority of Americans head to the polls to vote.
ftp relaunches in 2hours. Hopefully I’ll be asleep by then and wakeup to obama leading and a smooth ftp launch. Anyone wanna bet romney?

Acclaimed author and statistician Nate Silver, who blogs for the New York Times, has most recently pegged President Obama as a huge favorite to fend off GOP challenger Mitt Romney.
A few more polls to add. But Obama at 91% to win Electoral College based on today’s data so far. fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com

The 91-percent edge marks an increase from at least one previous estimate.
Poker professional Jonathan Aguiar compared the situation to a hand of poker.
According to @fivethirtyeight Obama is 86.3% to win, that’s AhAc vs KsKc on QsJsQc

The comparison to poker wasn’t without some quips on social media.
According to Nate Silver, the election is playing out like a hand of poker. Which would explain all the cheap vodka and idiots.

The Poker equivalent to the US election is that moment when the fish is thinking about making a call… that everyone else can see is wrong

In addition to Dwan and Aguiar, many other pro players Tweeted about the presidential election either late Monday night or Tuesday morning. The debate and commentary are ongoing.
Here are a handful of the Tweets:
This election thingy is quite gripping despite the fact it’s not even in my country. In other news, my hands are cold.
