Tom Dwan Looking For Action On Presidential Election

Recent Nate Silver Estimate Has Obama As 91-Percent Favorite

Early Tuesday morning, not long before the re-launch of Full Tilt Poker, professional high-stakes cash game player Tom “durrrr” Dwan took to Twitter before heading to bed to see if anyone wanted to bet on the outcome of the 2012 presidential election.

This Tuesday, Nov. 6 is the day when the majority of Americans head to the polls to vote.

Acclaimed author and statistician Nate Silver, who blogs for the New York Times, has most recently pegged President Obama as a huge favorite to fend off GOP challenger Mitt Romney.

The 91-percent edge marks an increase from at least one previous estimate.

Poker professional Jonathan Aguiar compared the situation to a hand of poker.

The comparison to poker wasn’t without some quips on social media.


In addition to Dwan and Aguiar, many other pro players Tweeted about the presidential election either late Monday night or Tuesday morning. The debate and commentary are ongoing.
