First he took down the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Online tournament in a live final table for £77,126 then he annihilated the field at UKIPT Bristol and was the last man standing with all the chips and a further £90,400 to his name.

Barantny beat 549 opponents in the £700 + £70 buy in main event at the Gala Casino and his final challenger was James Greenwood.

The German started the battle with 4.6 million in chips to Greenwood’s 3.3 million and the lead swung this way and that before Barantny won seven pots on the trot to grind the Englishman down to 20 big blinds.

The final hand saw Barantny hit top pair on a 10-6-2 board before Greenwood shoved his remaining stack with 7-7 to no avail.

The final table payouts were:
1: Wojtek Barzantny, Germany — £90,400
2: James Greenwood, United Kingdom — £54,500
3: Robert Bull, United Kingdom — £33,300
4: Anthony Forsyth-Forrest, United Kingdom — £24,400
5: Amanda Sidark, Sweden — £19,000
6: Craig Goddard, United Kingdom — £15,100
7: Niall Murray, United Kingdom — £11,600
8: Jonathan Prince, United Kingdom — £8,800

Barantny is the third player to have won more than one UKIPT title after Joeri Zandvliet and Nick Abou Risk.
