The month of November was good to the Macau casino market, with properties reporting a 7.9 percent year over year increase in gambling revenue, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of Macau.
China’s only legal gambling destination brought in a total of 24.88 billion patacas ($3.12 billion), pushing 2012 projections to as high as $38 billion overall, or more than six times that of Las Vegas.
Analysts, however, are beginning to worry about a potential plateau for the region, which has started to see growth fall into the single digits after years in the double digits. In October, Macau gambling revenue was up only 3.2 percent.
