The first quarter of the
World Poker Tour Professional Poker Tour Bellagio tournament is set to air this evening at 9 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel.
The
PPT is a series of invitational tournaments with seats offered only to poker pros. This restriction makes for some stacked tables and excellent TV. The tournament was a three-day event that was edited into four quarters (which translates to "episodes") for television.
Visitors to
CardPlayer.com knew the results of this tournament when it was originally played in April of 2005.
With a field of 230 all-pro players, and a $500,000 prize pool to vie for, there are sure to be some impressive plays and gutsy maneuvers in each minute of the broadcast.
