In a strategic move to attract potential US poker players, Poker.com is inviting all US players to join in a $5,000 freeroll called the "Freedom Freeroll." Created to celebrate the site's decision to continue honoring US players and their hard-earned dollars, Poker.com is also trying to raise awareness among US players by urging all players to join the Pokers Players Alliance.

A privately held and fully licensed online gaming company, Poker.com is proceeding with attracting US players on the basis that its operations are legitimate. "We abide by all laws in the jurisdictions where our operations reside and we do consider our business to be perfectly legal under international law. As the proposed US law does not affect individual players, our legal advisors tell us that under federal law it is perfectly legal for US residents to continue to play poker," the company announced in a recent newsletter.
