The Bad Beat Jackpot at BetVictor Poker has soared to an all-time high of nearly €700,000.

At the time of writing the €695,945 jackpot has gone longer than ever before since it was won – 7 months and 29 days compared to 7 months and 10 days – so the likelihood of it being hit is, like the Jackpot itself, growing by the second.

To be in with a shot of sharing in the Bad Beat Jackpot poker players must be participating in a ring game from €0.50/€1 to €3/€6 at the no-limit hold’em Bad Beat tables at BetVictor.com.

The Jackpot will ultimately be won by a player there who loses a hand with four-of-a-kind, eights-or-better. The player with the losing hand will win 50 percent of the available jackpot at the time. On top of that the winner of the hand will scoop 25 percent of the available jackpot and the remaining players in the hand will get 25 percent to share.

Andy Horne, head of poker at the site, said, “With two new records set in recent days there’s no sign of a let up in the pressure at our Bad Beat tables. The anticipation is palpable.

“We don’t know when its going to hit but we do know you have to be at the tables when it does to be in with a chance of winning and when it does some lucky players are going to walk away with a life changing amount of cash. That’ll be a bad beat story no one will mind listening to!”
