The Grand Series of Poker main event gets underway in Vienna today Wednesday February 13.
Having moved from Salzburg to the Austrian capital the third stop on season III of the tour sees a €1,000 + €100 buy in no-limit hold’em event with two day 1s.
Players get 20,000 in chips and a one hour clock. They can also avail of a €200 + €20 and a €100 + €10 side event on Friday and Saturday if the main event proves fruitless.
The last time the Series stopped in Austria the winner was German Thomas Butzhammer who took down €62,760 for his victory over 251 opponents in the €1,650 main event in Salzburg.
