PokerStars is set to open a new live poker room City of Dreams in Macau.
The entertainment complex takes over from Casino Grand Lisboa whose 2009 deal with the live tour and online operator expired early 2012.
The branded “PokerStars Live at the City of Dreams” room is situated on the main casino floor of the venue and hosts 13 tables and will host regular PokerStars events such as the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour and Macau Poker Cup.
Danny McDonagh, PokerStars director of live operations for Asia-Pacific, said, “The PokerStars online brand drives more traffic to live poker events than any other. Players know that PokerStars is synonymous with integrity and high quality.
“That makes this collaboration a natural fit because City of Dreams has been at the forefront in providing the most innovative and premium gaming experience that is second to none in Macau.
