888 Launches First Real Money Casino On Facebook

888 today launched the first real money casino on Facebook.

Access to MAGIC888 is currently limited to players in the UK who are over 18 years old. It includes a wide range of slots and table games as well as a live casino.

Last December 888 launched the first real money bingo games on Facebook.

Chief operating officer of 888, Itai Frieberger, said, “This launch marks a significant extension in our real money social offering. The 
successful launch of BingoAppy has indicated the potential that social gaming offers, and
 we are delighted to expand our gaming portfolio with the launch of our MAGIC888 casino.


“The app gives Facebook users in the UK the opportunity to enjoy 888′s award winning casino
 while introducing new features which leverage the social experience Facebook offers.”

At the time of writing the site had just 92 likes with 45 “people talking about this”. There was no obvious link to sign up for the casino and the only comment on the page asked, “Where’s the game link?”.

Poker is likely to be the next breakthrough real money betting game on the social media platform. PokerStars has just launched PokerStars.net on Facebook while Facebook poker giant, Zynga is moving into real money games via its partnership with bwin.party.
