888 has moved a step closer to gaining a Interactive Gaming Service Provider license in Nevada after the state’s Gaming Control Board recommended its approval to the Nevada Gaming Commission.

The Gaming Control Board recommended the approaval of 888 as a manufacturer, distributor and provider of an interactive gaming system.

888 has partnered with Caesars Interactive Entertainment, which secured its license earlier this year, and plans to operate a World Series of Poker branded online poker website in Nevada when the state launches online gaming later this year.

The Nevada Gaming Commission holds the next hearing into the licensing process on March 21, 2013.
