David Pecaski Wins Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas Event No. 9

Canadian Earns $41,234 For Topping Field of 521 Entrants

Event 9 – $440 No-Limit Hold’em $100,000 Guarantee

David Pecaski All three guaranteed events at the inaugural Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas have surpassed their guarantees, but event no. 9 was the first to more than double it. The $440 no-limit hold’em event featured a $100,000 guarantee, but after it attracted 521 entrants it built a prize pool of $202,148.

After two starting days 71 players remained to battle it out for the title. The top 54 made the money, and the last player standing was David Pecaski. For the win the Canadian earned the $41,234 first-place prize and 420 Card Player Player of the Year points. Pecaski topped a tough final table that featured the chip leade to start the day, Jeff D’Alessio (3rd – $20,013) and 2009 Player of the Year Eric Baldwin (4th – $14,555).

Other notables to make the money include event no. 1 winner Daniel Sindelar (23rd – $1,516), Dan Alspach (31st – $1,314), Ben Palmer (32nd – $1,314), double CPPT Wynn event winner Brent Hanks (35th – $1,314), Gary Bolden (46th – $910) and A.P. Phahurat (50th – $910).
