ZyngaPlusPoker Fails To Set Party Alight

PartyPoker Numbers Down Despite Zynga Launch Last Week

PartyPoker has fallen from second to fourth in terms of cash game player volume just one week after the launch of ZyngaPlusPoker on its network.

One week ago PartyPoker’s seven-day average cash game players numbered 3,150.

Today that figure has fallen to 3,000 according to PokerScout and the site has been overtaken by both Full Tilt Poker, which moved up to third, and iPoker which has now taken second spot behind PokerStars.

The news will be disappointing for PartyPoker and Zynga, both of which are struggling to revive their fortunes in a moribund marketplace where recreational players are becoming much more difficult to attract and retain.

Full Tilt Poker recently shifted its marketing focus in a drive to reverse sliding numbers while iPoker has boomed on the back of recruiting new licensees such as Betfair.
