After seven days of play, 6,352 players were narrowed down to a final table of nine in the 2013 World Series of Poker main event. One of these nine players will earn the title of World Champion and more than $8.3 million dollars. Card Player TV caught up with Jay Farber, who is coming into the final table fourth chip position, just after the final table was decided.
“I think it’s every poker player’s dream to win the main event, and now I have that opportunity and it’s incredible,” Farber told CPTV. “The money is great, it’s fine, but it’s about the money until you get here and then it’s about winning. I don’t want to walk away with second or third place. I want to win."
Farber is 28-year-old VIP Host and poker player living in Las Vegas, NV. Farber has no recorded tournament cashes, but boasted an impressive rooting section that included 2011 Player of the Year Ben Lamb, and is sure to have a gigantic and wild rail come November, when he will take a seat behind his 25,975,000 in chips after the more than 3-month break.
Check out the video interview, in which you can learn more about Farber’s background in poker, his transition to working as a VIP host and his thoughts on his chances of winning come November 4th:
