Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has had back-to-back strong weeks at the online poker tables to send him back into seven-figures worth of profit on the calendar year, according to HighstakesDB.

His heavy action over the past seven days was in heads-up, where he took on a handful of opponents at the nosebleed stakes. Blom was the winner of the largest pot of the period, an interesting hand with an over-bet on the river versus his frequent English nemesis.

At stakes of $400-$800 heads-up no-limit hold’em on Full Tilt Poker, Blom ($162,000) had the button and made it $2,400. Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar ($142,000) made it $7,500. Blom called.

The flop fell KClub Suit 10Spade Suit 3Spade Suit.

Millar bet $6,000, and Blom called.

The JClub Suit fell on the turn.

Millar checked this time, and Blom fired $16,800. Millar called.

The 2Heart Suit landed on the river.

Millar checked, and Blom elected to go all in for about twice the pot of $60,000. Millar had about $112,000 left and called. Blom tabled KDiamond Suit 10Heart Suit for two pair, and Millar mucked without showing.

Blom raked in the $284,642 monster.

The Swede used the crucial hand, as well as a couple of six-figure coolers in heads-up pot-limit Omaha against another high-stakes regular, to go on to win around $1.2 million over the past week. He is back up to more than $1.5 million in profits on the year.

Gus Hansen put together a decent week, winning $206,808. However, he is still the biggest loser on the year and is down around $10.5 million lifetime on Full Tilt.

Phil Ivey, who was on a big upswing just a few weeks ago, is now in the middle of a downswing. He has lost the most so far in October — around $450,000. He is among the worst performers this year online, despite still being the top earner in web poker history.
