A total of 358 entries were made in the 2013 World Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble $3,500 main even, more than doubling the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool with a total of $1,145,600 on the line. Five days after the first hand was dealt only one player remained: Jared Jaffee.

For the win the Brooklyn-based poker pro earned $252,749 and 900 Card Player Player of the Year points. This was his second title of 2013, having won the Aria Poker Classic $1,080 championship in July. He has also made four other final tables, including a third-place finish in the $2,500 no-limit hold’em four-handed event at the World Series of Poker for $129,447. All told he has garnered 2,740 POY points in 2013, with year-to-date earnings of $555,433. As a result he has moved into 15th place in the overall POY rankings.
