IGT To Link Slots Between Nevada, New JerseyNew Deal Allows For Potentially Bigger Prizes |

Late last week, IGT announced that its “Powerbucks,” a multistate wide-area progressive jackpot link, will be deployed at Caesars Entertainment properties in approved jurisdictions, starting with the states of New Jersey and Nevada.
In other words, the games will be linked between the Silver State and the Garden State, leading to potentially bigger prizes. Recent changes to Nevada gaming regulations allowed for this.
“We’re excited to transform the jackpot experience," IGT said in a statement. “With Powerbucks, IGT re-imagines casino gaming thrills by creating more winners, more often, across multiple states. We all win when players engage more, and Powerbucks enables our customers to attract more players to casinos with the promise of more jackpots.”
“We’re continually seeking new and innovative ways to bring more excitement to the gaming experience. Together, IGT and Caesars Entertainment own the legacy of creating the most millionaires in the industry; now with Powerbucks, we’re creating a whole new level of excitement around winning,” Melissa Price, an executive for Caesars, said in a statement.
According to the Las Vegas-Review Journal, states would collect taxes only on the wagers made within their respective borders.
