Macau gaming revenue increased 10.6 percent year-over-over to $3.92 billion in April, according the region’s government.
Macau, the only place in China were gambling is legal, is on pace to surpass last year’s $45 billion in gambling revenue.
In March, Macau’s casinos won $4.4 billion. February saw a record of $4.8 billion
More than 30 casinos currently populate Macau.
According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, at least one analyst has predicted that Macau gambling revenue will grow by another 20 percent in 2014, while another says that in 2017 it will hit a whopping $77 billion.
For comparison, Nevada casinos brought in a little more than $11 billion in 2013.
Gaming revenue is the amount the casinos took in from gamblers.
Top Nevada firms, such MGM, Wynn and Las Vegas Sands, also do business in Macau.
