The action was abundant this week at the high-stakes online poker tables, as many of online poker’s best engaged one another in a plethora of games.
There was great action at limit deuce-to-seven triple draw, the eight-game mix, no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha.
According to data from HighstakesDB, the big winners over the past seven days were Alex “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn ($547,804), Hac “trex313” Dang ($501,848), Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau ($446,803) and Phil “Polarizing” Ivey ($338,069).
The big loser on the week was Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, who dropped $950,010. Blom is now down $1.6 million on the year, and is millions in the hole lifetime on the software.
The Swede was up more than $2 million on 2014 back in February.
Gus Hansen dropped $204,367 over the past seven days to reach $18 million in lifetime losses on Full Tilt Poker, the most for any one account in online poker history.
Finnish poker legend Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius, who recently overtook Ivey as the most successful ever online, lost $157,259 over the week.
The biggest hand of the week was a $235,000 showdown at $400-$800 no-limit hold’em between Ivey and Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar. Both players got all their money into the middle on a 4 3 2 flop. Millar held the A 5, for a wheel, while Ivey had the Q 4, which was a pair and a flush draw.
They elected to run it twice.
The first run-out came K 9, giving the first half of the pot to Ivey. The second run-out was 7 J, giving the other half to Millar.
