A book about infamous, but also legendary, Las Vegas gambler and casino boss Benny Binion will be made into a movie, deadline.com reported Monday.
Relativity Media has acquired screen rights to Blood Aces: The Wild Ride Of Benny Binion. According to the report, Cliff Dorfman, screen writer for the hit show Entourage and numerous films, will adapt the Doug Swanson book.
Binion is famous for opening the Horseshoe Casino, where the WSOP was born. Binion was a polarizing figure, well-liked by many, but also considered a murderous gangster.
Card Player chronicled Binion’s life in a two-part series last year. Click here for Men Of Action: Benny Binion, The Cowboy Gangster Part 1, and then Part 2 here.
Binion passed away in 1989.
