Talk about a bad beat.
Thieves who entered Casino Calgary on Wednesday morning and took an ATM reportedly were in store for an unpleasant surprise as the machine they took had no money in it, police said, according to a report from the National Post.
The casino’s security cameras captured video of them loading the ATM onto a dolly and making their way out of the casino. In the process, the ATM toppled on top of one of them. The thief quickly recovered, and they made their way to a silver colored minivan and loaded the ATM into it, police said.
The report added that the machine “was in the process of being moved to a different part of the casino and was out of order and contained no cash.”
The suspects remain at large.
