In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. NORTHEAST
- The CPPT Foxwoods Resort Casino (Jan 31, ‘15 – Feb 09, ’15) The Foxwoods Resort Casino launched into it’s second annual Card Player Poker Tour festival late last week, but in the coming days the series will come to the centerpiece of the whole affair: the $300,000 guaranteed $1,650 no-limit hold’em Card Player Poker Tour main event. The tournament features two starting flights, beginning at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM respectively on Saturday, February 7th. On Monday, Feb. 9th the final table will be live streamed right here on CardPlayer.com as the event plays down to a champion.
- The 2015 Big Stax X (Jan 28, ‘15 – Feb 23, ’15) The Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA is back with another iteration of it’s popular Big Stax series. This week will see a $330 buy-in no-limit hold’em event kick off, with the first of four starting days getting underway at 11:00 AM local time on Feb. 4th.
FLORIDA
- The 2015 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open (Jan 22, ‘15 – Feb 11, ’15) The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood launched it’s huge 31-event Lucky Hearts Poker Open series two weeks ago, but this week will see the series’ largest tournament get underway. The $3 million guaranteed World Poker Tour $3,500 no-limit hold’em main event kicks off with the first of three starting days at noon on Feb. 5th. Play continues until a winner is decided at the final table on Feb. 11th.
NEVADA
- The 2015 Deepstack Extravaganza I (Jan 27, ‘15 – Feb 26, ’15) The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas kicked off the first run of it’s popular Deepstack Extravaganza series in 2015 last week. The biggest event of the coming days is a $200,000 guaranteed $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event that begins with the first of starting days at noon on Feb. 6th.
- The "2015 HPT Grand Sierra Resort & Casino ":http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournaments/5125-2015-hpt-grand-sierra-resort-casino(Jan 29, ‘15 – Feb 09, ’15) The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno saw the Heartland Poker Tour rolled into town last week, and now is set to launch into the biggest event of the series: the $1,650 HPT no-limit hold’em main event that begins with the first of three starting flights at 3:00 PM on Feb. 6th. Flights 1B and 1C begin at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM respectively on Feb. 7th.
CALIFORNIA
MIDWEST
- The 2015 Hollywood Poker Open Toledo (Feb 05, ‘15 – Feb 16, ’15) The Hollywood Casino Toledo kicks off with it’s 22-event tournament series this week, with the early highlight being a $75,000 guaranteed $300 buy-in that begins with the first of three starting flights at 5:15 PM on Feb. 6th. Flights 1B and 1C begin at 12;15 PM and 5:15 PM respectively on Feb. 7th.
