In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. NEVADA
- The CPPT III Wynn Las Vegas (Feb 25, ’15 – Mar 18, ’15) The Card Player Poker Tour has returned for the second time to the Wynn Las Vegas for an action-packed 14-event poker tournament series. Every event of the 2015 CPPT Wynn Las Vegas sports a guaranteed prize pool, the largest of this week being a $250,000 guaranteed $600 buy-in event that kicks off with the first of three starting days at noon on Mar. 5th. The $300,000 guaranteed $2,100 buy-in main event will run from Mar. 15th through the 18th, with in depth coverage here on CardPlayer.
NORTHEAST
- The 2015 WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Baltimore (Feb 26, ‘15 – Mar 09, ’15) The WSOP Circuit pulled into the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Maryland last week for it’s latest 14-event series. The highlight of the second week is of course the $1,675 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event which begins with the first of two starting days, each starting at noon, on Mar. 6th and 7th.
- The 2015 Spring Showdown (Feb 28, ‘15 – Mar 08, ’15) The Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut’s Spring Showdown series kicked off last weekend, but the main event is slated to fire up this week beginning at 11:00 AM local time on Mar. 7th. The $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament features a $125,000 guaranteed prize pool.
- The 2015 March Mania Hold’em Series (Mar 03, ‘15 – Mar 08, ’15) The Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, NY is set to host a 10-event tournament series starting this week. The marquee event is a $100,000 guaranteed $550 buy-in no-limit hold’em event which begins with the first of two starting days at 11:00 AM local time on Mar. 6th.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2015 WPT L.A. Poker Classic (Jan 12, ‘15 – Mar 05, ’15) The Commerce Casino’s largest poker festival is coming to a close after weeks of top-flight action. Registration is now closed in the LAPC the World Poker Tour $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, but there are still a number of tournaments set to take place in the coming days including the $50,000 six-max no-limit hold’em high roller event that begins at 6:00 PM on Mar. 3rd and a closing $100,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em event which gets underway at 4:00 PM on Mar. 4th.
- The 2015 Winnin’ O’ the Green Series (Mar 06, ‘15 – Apr 07, ’15) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA launches into it’s 35-event Winnin’ O’ the Green series this week, with the early highlight of the month-long festival being a $200,000 guaranteed $365 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. The tournament has four starting flights to choose from, with noon and 5:00 PM start times on Mar. 7th and 8th.
MIDWEST
- The 2015 Chicago Poker Classic (Mar 05, ‘15 – Mar 16, ’15) The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN has hosted plenty of big tournament series in recent years and is set to do so again starting this week. Their latest series is the 10-event Chicago Poker Classic, which kicks off this week with a huge $500,000 guaranteed $360 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. The tournament features six starting flights, with two starting times of noon and 5:00 PM local time on Mar. 5 – 7. Survivors will return at 2:00 PM on Mar. 8th to play down to a champion.
FLORIDA

The first event is a $100,000 guaranteed $350 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament that features three starting days, with 1A and 1B starting at noon on Mar. 5th and 6th respectively while day 1C begins at noon on Mar. 7th.
SOUTH
- The 2015 Hollywood Poker Open Tunica (Feb 26, ‘15 – Mar 08, ’15) The Hollywood Casino Tunica in Robinsonville, MS continues with it’s Hollywood Poker Open Tunica festival this week, with the $1,115 no-limit hold’em main event kicking off at noon on Mar. 7th.
